Dear Friends:

It is a pleasure to announce our annual major fundraiser for the Carson Valley Medical Center Hospital Foundation; A Grand Venetian Affair – an evening of mystique, costume and masks will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the spectacular Genoa Lakes Golf Club. This major event will increase awareness about healthcare needs in our small community. Proceeds will be dedicated to upgrade electronic cardiac and respiratory monitoring equipment used in the emergency department and throughout the hospital.  Advances in monitoring equipment technology enable early detection of life threatening cardiac and respiratory deterioration decreasing the need for slower, more painful and more expensive invasive tests. 

For the past three years over two hundred and fifty guests celebrated and supported quality healthcare services in the Carson Valley at the CVMC Hospital Foundation’s galas.  Through the efforts of these fundraising events, the foundation has assisted in bringing digital mammography equipment to the Imaging Department; upgraded the equipment in the Rehabilitation Department; and purchased advanced surgical equipment to expand services, allowing patients to have less invasive surgery with less recovery time.

This year we are honoring, Lori Salvador, one of the areas well known, respected and dedicated nurses with our Healthcare Legacy Award.  She has committed her adult life to healing and taking care of patients and does so with compassion, honesty and dignity.
